1. Information We Collect

When you use ComplianceShield, we collect:

  • Account information: your name, email address, and password (hashed).
  • Etsy shop data: when you connect your Etsy shop, we access your listing titles, descriptions, tags, images, and shop metadata via the Etsy API using read-only permissions. We never modify your listings.
  • Payment information: processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.
  • Usage data: scan history, feature usage, and basic analytics to improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To scan your Etsy listings for potential policy compliance issues.
  • To provide scan results, reports, and compliance recommendations.
  • To manage your account and process subscription payments.
  • To send you important service updates and policy change alerts (if subscribed).
  • To improve and maintain the ComplianceShield service.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security policies. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We retain your Etsy listing data only for the duration needed to perform scans and display results. You can request deletion of your data at any time.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase: authentication and database hosting.
  • Stripe: payment processing.
  • Etsy API: to access your shop and listing data (read-only).
  • Vercel: application hosting.

Each service has its own privacy policy governing data handling.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or Etsy listing data with third parties for marketing purposes. We only share data with the third-party services listed above as necessary to provide the ComplianceShield service.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
  • Disconnect your Etsy shop at any time, which revokes our API access.
  • Cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notification. Continued use of ComplianceShield after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
